Former President Buhari Expresses Satisfaction with Election Petition Verdict

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has conveyed his satisfaction with the ruling of the Presidential Elections Petition Court, which affirmed the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, in the February 25 election.

The former President commended the PEPC for “making history” by upholding justice in accordance with the law, despite challenges and prejudices, and for respecting the majority of citizens’ wishes.

“If anyone has emerged victorious today, it is democracy and the people,” he stated, adding that “with the Supreme Court’s verdict, the election period has concluded, and it’s time to move past the heated and contentious moments.”

Buhari encouraged everyone to support the new APC administration led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fulfill the promises made to the people.

He also expressed his gratitude to all citizens for maintaining peace during this period and extended his best wishes to the President, Vice President, and the All Progressives Congress for their victory in court, hoping for continued progress and development under the APC government.
