The African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2023, with the theme “Renaissance: Legacy in Motion,” will feature performances by well-known artists including KCee, Yinka Davies, Camido, and Zadok Aghalengbe, a contestant from the seventh edition of Nigerian Idol. The award ceremony will be held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Kingsley James, AMAA 2023 Technical Head, expressed their commitment to delivering an experience that reflects the legacy of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder of AMAA.

The hosts for the ceremony will be Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau, and Richard Ato Turkson, while popular film star Jimmy Jean-Louis will also attend the event.

Raymond Anyiam-Osigwe, a board member of AFA, the organization behind AMAA, expressed confidence that the 19th edition of the awards ceremony would surpass the expectations of attendees and industry practitioners. He also mentioned that they would be honoring their beloved sister, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, who was passionate about AMAA and the African film industry. This year’s event is considered special and dear to the board and family members, and they will provide a glimpse of what to expect at the 20th edition.
