Tope Maggie, a Nigerian chef, has embarked on a remarkable culinary journey with the goal of surpassing the existing Guinness Record held by Alan Fisher. Commencing his cooking marathon on November 9, 2023, Tope Maggie initially aimed to cook for 140 hours and 20 minutes. However, inspired by Alan Fisher’s achievement in breaking Hilda Baci’s record, Tope Maggie decided to elevate his challenge to an impressive 200 hours.
As the cook-a-thon unfolds over approximately eight days, Tope Maggie has already completed five days, leaving him with three more days to secure his position as the potential new Guinness Record Holder.
In a landscape where Nigerians have taken on diverse world records and faced various challenges, Tope Maggie remains undeterred. Notably, others like Joyce Ijeoma attempted a 72-hour body massage but unfortunately faced setbacks. Despite the challenges, Tope Maggie presses on in his cooking marathon, prompting the question: will he achieve this remarkable feat?
With a promising start, the anticipation grows to witness if Tope Maggie will emerge as the newest record holder for the longest cooking marathon. Best of luck to Tope Maggie on this extraordinary culinary endeavor.
