A Citizens’ Town Hall engagement concerning the 2024 budget and appropriation process has commenced in Abuja. The event, organized by the House Committee on Appropriation and the Programmes Coordinating Unit of the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, drew the participation of notable figures, including Chairman Kabir Abubakar, Deputy Chairman Iduma Enwo, and former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Iyiola Omisore.
In his opening remarks, Kabir emphasized that the primary objective of the gathering was to enhance citizens’ participation in the appropriation process. He stated, “This Town Hall is important in promoting the integrity of the budgeting process.”
