Lokoja Agog as Usman Ododo Takes Over As Governor of Kogi

Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the winner of the 11th November 2023 Gubernatorial election in Kogi State, was Saturday sworn in as the 5th Executive Governor of the state.

The swearing in ceremony, which was held at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, was conducted by the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Hon. Justice Joseph Josiah Majebi amidst dignitaries from across Nigeria.

The Nigeria’s Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima represented the President, Alhaji Ahmed Tinibu at the swearing in ceremony.

The Governor was administered the oath office allegiance after his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo who had earlier taken his turn amidst cheers from a mammoth crowd of personalities and well wishers.

Highlights of the Inauguration was the taken of his first salute, review of parade by Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as Governor of the State.

The former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello also handed over officially to the new Governor.
