Prosperity Cup: Bayelsa United Feeders, Brazil FC Reach Yenagoa Final

Bayelsa United Feeders and Brazil FC have qualified for the Yenagoa Local Government Area final of the 2026 Prosperity Cup after winning their semi-final matches. Bayelsa United Feeders secured a 2–0 victory over Afini FC, with Yakubu Abdulrazak scoring both goals—one in each half—at the Government House pitch. The result marks their third consecutive appearance in the Yenagoa final.

In the second semi-final, Brazil FC defeated Akimima/Biogbo FC 1–0, courtesy of a second-half strike by Abuga Francis.Matches in other centres also produced decisive outcomes. At Sabagreia, Opu-Okun United beat California FC of Odi 2–1, while Kings Warriors FA recorded a 3–1 win over Creek FC.

At the Odi Centre, De Rhema United edged Premium FC 4–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in regulation time. Mountain of the Lord’s Deliverance Ministry (MLDM) FC also advanced with a 4–1 victory over Sir Temple FC. Organisers said fixtures will continue across centres, including matches in Kolokuma/Opukuma Local Government Area.The Prosperity Cup, organised under the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Initiative, is designed to promote grassroots football and identify emerging talent across the state.
