“NFF Defends Alex Iwobi, Highlights His Dedication and Contributions to Super Eagles”

By Daniel Edu

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has come to the defense of Alex Iwobi, stating that the player does not deserve online trolling. After the 2023 AFCON, where Nigeria finished as the runner-up, Iwobi became the target of online criticism, prompting him to delete all content from his Instagram page. The NFF, in a statement, reminded football enthusiasts of Iwobi’s significant contributions to the Super Eagles, highlighting his dedication, remarkable attitude, and role in helping Nigeria qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The statement called for support and love for the player, emphasizing his status as one of the most capped Nigerian players in history with 76 caps.
