Price Of Food Items gradually Dropping In Kano Markets-Investigation

The price of consumables at Kano local markets is gradually dropping as monitored by our correspondent who visited some local markets recently.

Few weeks ago, the price of food items and other essential commodities sky rocketed which resulted is organising different protests across the country due to the inflation on food items.

The Daybreak News during it’s visit to Badume market in Bichi local government area, Dambatta, Rimin Gado, Shuwaki in Kunchi local government area and Dawanau international food market and gathered that the price of each food items dropped and affordable to consumers.

Furthermore, the food items vendors disclosed that the inflation is now down and from all indications, measures taken by the federal and states government helped greatly in the price drop where they assured that the price may continue to fall due to the opening of stores that were stocked by the hoarders.

Speaking to journalists at Badume market, Malam Lawan Adam, one of the food items vendor stated that ” removing fuel subsidy has been one of the reasons that everything became so expensive but I’d the federal government will return the subsidy, we are certain that everything will crash and become much affordable to consumers”. He emphasized.

In conclusion, all those who talk to press disclosed that government is now trying its best to control inflation especially on food items, therefore there may be a good price hike drops on every type of food items.
