Launch of FCT- IRS e-portal will enhance efficiency

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT-, Internal Revenue Service, FCT- IRS, Executive Chairman, Haruna Abdullahi has said that the launch of the FCT- IRS e- portal will bring ease , efficient services for taxpayers in the comfort of thier homes.

Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja, Abdullahi said, “gone are the days of cumbersome paperwork and long waiting times. Instead, we are welcoming a new era where taxpayers can navigate their obligations with ease and efficiency, all at the click of a button from the comfort of their homes or offices.”
He explained that the e-portal platform is an innovation, ” that will help us bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, propelling tax management further into the digital age.”
He said that the FCT-IRS has made significant progress overtime towards revolutionizing revenue management and collection for taxpayers.

” The e-portal is our collection, receipting, assessment, and Tax Clearance Certificate, TCC, issuance platform with the embedding of every service of revenue management.”
” This platform is a symphony of evolution of processes, seamlessly harmonizing convenience, transparency, and accountability.”
Speaking further, he stated that
the platform harnesses the power of technology to enable both taxpayers and tax administrators to interact in a transparent, efficient, and user-friendly manner.”
He noted that the tax e- portal is designed meticulously to meet the needs and expectations of individual taxpayers, business owners, and tax consultants.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the FCT- IRS e- portal platform offers the promotion of ease of doing business within the FCT, enhancement of accessibility to important tax-related services, simplified and streamlined tax services among other things.

For the Technical Partner, CEO , AutoCom Services, Bosun Ayeni congratulated the IRS for their step in bringing innovation to Tax collection and expressed optimism that in the mist of spending a lot of money on recoveries and chasing after collection of monies from taxpayers, the service should add Artificial Intelligence, AI, to show for what new technologies will be doing for FCT- IRS.
