BNXN Issues Apology to Davido Following Social Media Controversy

By Daniel Edu

Popular Nigerian musician, Daniel Etiese Benson, professionally known as BNXN, has publicly apologized after facing criticism from fellow artist Dremo for what was perceived as ‘disrespect’ towards DMW boss, David Adeleke (Davido).

The incident occurred during a lighthearted exchange with a fan of Davido on X last Thursday, where BNXN made a subtle dig at the DMW boss. Davido, unimpressed by the comment, decided to delete a tweet playfully hinting at a potential collaboration with BNXN.

Despite Davido’s reaction, BNXN initially asserted on social media that he would proceed to release the song without Davido’s approval. He emphasized that his tweet was blown “out of proportion” by fans and claimed credit for writing “everything” in the song.

However, after receiving criticism from DMW signee Dremo, who accused him of “disrespecting” his boss, BNXN returned to X on Thursday night to publicly apologize for his actions. In response to Dremo’s scolding, BNXN admitted his mistake, saying, “No yawa. I’m sorry.”
