Sokoto State Government Seal Two More Hotels In The Metropolis

By Muhammad Ibrahim, Sokoto

Sokoto state government has on Tuesday sealed Smart Garden and Dinero Hotels all in Sokoto South LGA.

This was as a result of harbouring immoral activities.

It could be recalled that some months ago the state government closed down the Iforma Hotel situated along Trade Fair complex for the death of a lady in the hotel guest room.

The State government under the leadership of Governor Ahmad Aliyu, has taken decisive action against the two hotels for allegedly harbouring immoral activities such as prostitution, drug abuse and noise pollution, which reportedly has been disturbing the peace of the community.

The State House of Assembly on its part has ordered the closure of the hotels, and the Governor has directed the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for immediate actions against the hotels.

The Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Jabir Sani Maihula, and the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Haruna Abbas Bashir, led the team that shut down the hotels.

This move has been praised by the community, who have been complaining about the hotels’ activities.

The people are hailing the governor as a champion of morality and a true leader who listens to their concerns.
