World Humanitarian Day: Sokoto Gov’s Wife Donates Food,financial Support to Patients

As part of activities marking the 2024 world humanitarian day, the wife of the sokoto state governor, hajiya fatima aliyu has donated food and cash assistance to patients at the specialist hospital, sokoto.

Speaking at the occasion, hajiya fatima aliyu said the northern governors’ wives forum decided to commemorate the world humanitarian day by rendering financial and food assistance to the needy especially the sick persons.

She said, “The idea here is to assist the needy so as to reduce the hardship they are facing in their day to day lives.

” we are all aware that the world is facing economic challenges which are also affecting our country, and that is why we came up with this initiative to put smiles on the faces of the have nots among us.”

Hajiya fatima added that gov. Ahmed aliyu upon assumption of office provided several food and financial assistance to the vulnerable groups and the physically challenged in the state with a view to reducing the hardship they faced.

Governor’s media aide, abubakar bawa further said hajiya fatima also called on well to do in the state to complement the effort of the state government in assisting the needy.

She contained “As we all know,islam always encourages us to support the weak among us,and by so doing, we wiil be able to enjoy allah’s mercies and blessings”

She called on the beneficiaries of the largesse to use the gesture in such a way that it will benefit them and their immediate family.

Earlier, the state commissioner for health, asabe balarabe lauded the governor’s wife’s effort in putting smiles on the faces of patients at the specialist hospital.

She also thanked hajiya fatima aliyu for settling the medical bills of some patients undergoing various surgeries at the hospital.
