The **Nigerian Air Force** has begun airlifting election materials for the **Edo governorship election**, scheduled for September 21, 2024. This operation aims to ensure the timely and secure delivery of essential materials to Benin, Edo State, in preparation for the upcoming election.

NAF and INEC have collaborated to address logistical needs and improve the credibility of the upcoming election. By transporting these materials, the NAF supports INEC in maintaining an efficient and secure electoral process.

Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), recently met with INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu. During the meeting, he confirmed that the NAF would continue to assist INEC by providing airlift support for essential electoral materials.

Election observers have pointed out that the swift airlift of materials shows INEC’s readiness for the Edo State governorship election. This preparation highlights INEC’s ability to manage one of the year’s most highly anticipated elections effectively.

The active role of the Nigerian Air Force in this operation emphasizes their commitment to ensuring a smooth electoral process and reinforces public confidence in the upcoming election.
