A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama has summoned former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to appear in court on October 24.

Judge Maryanne Anenih presides over the case, which involves a 16-count charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The EFCC accuses Bello of a criminal breach of trust amounting to N110,446,470,089, violating sections 96 and 311 of the Penal Code Law Cap.89, Laws of Northern Nigeria, 1963. If convicted, he could face severe penalties under Section 312 of the same law.
