Must read

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oguduokwor Ward, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has announced the immediate suspension of the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South East zone, Ali Odefa, citing alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was made public on Friday during a briefing in Abuja, following a meeting of the Ward Executive Committee. Acting Chairman of the PDP Oguduokwor Ward, Herbert Onyedikachi, alongside other executives, explained that the suspension stemmed from Odefa’s actions, which were deemed harmful to the party’s image and interests.

Onyedikachi stated that the suspension was in line with Section 57(3) of the PDP Constitution, which grants the Ward Executive Committee the authority to suspend members for misconduct. Odefa has also been referred to the Ward Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and action.

“The suspension and disciplinary referral are aimed at ensuring party discipline and upholding the core values and principles of the PDP,” the statement read. The Ward Executive Committee urged party members to remain dedicated to the PDP’s goals and objectives, reinforcing the party’s commitment to unity and integrity.
