Ekiti Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, Passes Away at 63

Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has died following a brief illness, according to a statement from the Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Olanike Adegoke, on Tuesday.

In a tribute shared by the judiciary’s Public Relations Officer, Michael Oba, Adegoke praised the late Chief Judge, calling him “a respected jurist who dedicated his life to upholding fairness, equity, and justice.”

“The contributions of the late CJ to the judiciary and to Ekiti State are immeasurable. His legacy will be deeply missed,” she stated.

Justice Adeyeye, born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government Area, joined the Nigerian Bar in 1986. He was appointed Chief Judge of Ekiti State in October 2021 and served with dedication until his passing.
