The Chairman of Bayelsa Queens football Club, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, has been honoured with “A Life Time Achievement Award” by the Ratels Sports Development Foundation (RSDF).
According to the President and founder of the Ratels Sports Development Foundation, Barrister Paul Edeh, the Life Time Achievement award was bestowed on Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, due to his immense contribution towards the upliftment of female football not only in Bayelsa State, but the Country and the Africa Continent at large.
Barrister Paul Edeh said they are confident that Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala will not disappoint the people of his State and the Country and described Pastor Apreala as a man of good character and integrity.
While presenting the award to Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Isaiah Benjamin said the essence of the award is in recognition of the numerous work done by the Bayelsa Queens football club Chairman.
Responding, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala said he was overwhelmed by the recognition given him by the Ratels Sports Development Foundation.
“With the award given to me today, it will definitely spur me to do more for the growth of female football, first in my State and then in Nigeria, ” Pastor Apreala said.
Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala also urged sports administrators to give their best when called upon to serve which is the only way sports can develop and thrive in the Country.
“I dedicate this award first to God Almighty, to His Excellency Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Commissioner for Sports Development, Champion Baraladei Daniel Igali and to the good people of Bayelsa State for their massive support”, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala added.
