The Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship (Wallat), has praised the Nigerian Armed Forces (AFN) for their unwavering sacrifices, stating that their contributions to national unity and security are immeasurable.
Hon. Manship made this commendation during the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day interdenominational church thanksgiving service held at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Jos.
“A Binding Force for National Unity”
The chairman expressed deep gratitude to the military for maintaining Nigeria’s unity since independence despite ongoing security challenges. He described the armed forces as a binding force holding the nation together.
He appealed to Nigerians, regardless of ethnic or religious differences, to support the military consistently. “The Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity has been a cornerstone of national stability, and their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed,” he said.
Commitment to Partnership and Development
Hon. Manship reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to partnering with the armed forces to ensure the safety and security of citizens in Quaan-Pan LGA. He paid tribute to fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation, lauding the bravery and selflessness of all armed forces personnel.
In a statement signed by Danaan Cletus Sylvanus, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Chairman, Hon. Manship also commended Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his efforts in enhancing security and delivering the dividends of democracy to the state.
The chairman pledged to drive significant development initiatives for the people of Quaan-Pan Local Government, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of its residents.
The 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Nigeria’s military personnel and underscores the importance of national unity and collective support for the armed forces.
