JUST IN: Nigeria Customs Service Generates N6.1 Trillion in 2024 — CGC

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has reported a record-breaking revenue of **N6.105 trillion** for the year 2024, marking a **90.4% increase** from the **N3.2 trillion** collected in 2023.

Comptroller-General of Customs, **Adewale Adeniyi**, announced this on Tuesday during a press briefing in Abuja, where he reviewed the agency’s performance for the year.

Adeniyi highlighted that the NCS exceeded its **2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion** by **22%**, attributing the success to enhanced trade facilitation and improved revenue collection strategies.

He noted that the service achieved its highest monthly revenue in **October 2024**, with a remittance of **N603 billion**, reflecting the agency’s strengthened operations.

“The Nigeria Customs Service recorded an unprecedented performance in 2024 with N6.105 trillion generated, surpassing our revenue target by 22%,” Adeniyi stated.

He emphasized the NCS’s commitment to further boosting trade facilitation and sustaining its momentum in revenue generation.
