“Don’t Be Misled by Her Tears” – Mercy Chinwo’s Ex-Manager Responds

By Abigail Philip David

The rift between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former manager, Eezee Tee, has escalated as the latter fires back at the artist’s recent emotional allegations.

Mercy Chinwo had accused Eezee Concepts, owned by Eezee Tee, of engaging bloggers to tarnish her reputation. She also alleged that in 2019, Eezee Tee attempted to pressure her into signing a fraudulent contract, which she refused.

In response, Eezee Tee took to Instagram to defend himself, urging the public not to be swayed by what he called Mercy’s “gimmicks.” He disclosed that in 2019, Mercy filed a petition against him with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a move he claims was aimed at ruining his credibility.

Eezee Tee revealed that he initially avoided going public with the matter, preferring peaceful resolution. However, he felt compelled to speak out after his attempts at reconciliation were interpreted as weakness.

“What do you expect from someone who can perfectly mimic a child’s voice and make it seem real? She’s a fantastic actress,” Eezee Tee said in a video shared on Instagram.

Efforts to Resolve the Dispute

Eezee Tee explained that he sought mediation through respected Christian leaders such as Bishop Humphrey and Bishop Mike Okonkwo. Despite these efforts, he claims his attempts were dismissed and misinterpreted.

“If I didn’t care about the body of Christ, I wouldn’t have approached these people. But what did I hear? ‘He’s running everywhere because he’s scared.’ Every time I suggested peace, it was taken as a sign of weakness,” he said.

He added, “I realized the conspiracy was deliberate when someone told me, ‘Stop worrying about the body of Christ; we’ll deal with you, and the body of Christ will be fine.’ That’s when I knew this was more than just a disagreement—it was an orchestrated attack.”

Eezee Tee’s Statement on the Matter

In the caption accompanying the video, Eezee Tee elaborated on his silence and his reasons for breaking it:

“Even in the face of injustice, I chose silence.
When you involved the EFCC to detain me, I remained silent.
When I sought resolution through the Multidoor Court, I remained silent.
When I filed a lawsuit to protect my rights and prevent further harassment, I still chose silence.

But then, you manipulated the system, obtained a bench warrant against me, and published it globally.

This is no longer just about me—it’s about fairness, transparency, and standing against unjust actions. Silence is often mistaken for weakness, but let me assure you, truth always prevails. Facts are stubborn.”

The unfolding drama between the gospel singer and her former manager has sparked widespread reactions, leaving fans and observers divided on the matter.
