Governor Aliyu, Wamakko, and Speaker Attend Funeral of SEMA Executive Secretary Bashir Muhammad

Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the state APC leader, were among the hundreds of Muslim faithful who attended the funeral prayer of the Executive Secretary of the Sokoto State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Bashir Muhammad (Buster).

Late Bashir Muhammad, aged 55, passed away at Sokoto Clinic after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his mother, wife, and three children.

Several top government officials and political figures were present at the funeral prayer, including:

  • Ambassador Sahabi Isa Gada, mni
  • Sulaiman S. Fulani Ahmadu – Head of Service
  • Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Permanent Secretaries, and Heads of Government Agencies

Prayers for the Deceased

Special prayers were offered for the repose of Bashir Muhammad’s soul, and he was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

His passing marks a significant loss to Sokoto State, especially in the area of emergency management and disaster response.
