BREAKING: El-Rufai Leaves APC, Joins SDP

Former Kaduna State Governor and founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasir El-Rufai, has officially left the ruling party and joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

El-Rufai announced his defection in a statement shared on his X handle on Monday, citing a growing disconnect between his personal values and the APC’s current trajectory. He expressed disappointment in the party’s leadership, accusing it of deviating from the progressive ideals upon which it was founded.
