Kaduna Governor Appoints New Commissioners, Reshuffles Cabinet

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has announced key changes in his cabinet, appointing two new commissioners and redeploying one.

Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo has been named the new Commissioner for Education, while Barrister Gloria Ibrahim will now lead the Ministry of Youth Development. The former Commissioner for Education, Professor Sani Bello, has been reassigned to head the newly established Ministry of Information.

The appointments and redeployment take immediate effect, according to a statement released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa.

Governor Sani tasked Professor Sambo with revitalizing the Education Ministry to fulfill the administration’s goals, which include expanding access to education, upgrading school infrastructure, enhancing teacher capacity, integrating ICT, prioritizing girl-child education, and improving school security.

Barrister Ibrahim is expected to develop innovative and practical initiatives to transform the Ministry of Youth Development into a hub for impactful youth programs, in line with the state’s vision of empowering young people for success in a technology-driven world.

Governor Sani extended his congratulations to the new appointees and wished them divine guidance and success in their new roles.
