The Fulani Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Obajana has arrested four suspected kidnappers believed to be terrorizing Obajana, Oyo, and surrounding communities in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to the Commander of the Fulani CJTF in Obajana, Mallam Ibrahim Abubakar, the suspects are linked to a series of kidnapping incidents along the Obajana–Oyo axis in Oworoland.
In their confessional statements, the suspects—who are also residents of Oyo—admitted to being involved in providing information on potential targets and supplying food to criminal camps in the area.
Commander Abubakar commended the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, for his consistent support of the CJTF, attributing the recent breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping and banditry to the chairman’s backing.
He vowed that the Fulani CJTF will continue to expose criminal elements within their ranks and communities, stressing that no stone would be left unturned.
The suspects—identified as Muazu Sale, Hasheemu Musa, Bala Muazu, and Aliyu Zuberi—have been handed over to the Police Quick Response Unit in Lokoja for further investigation.
