Yes, love can be blinding. It’s easy to overlook toxic behaviour when you’re caught up in the thrill of companionship. But while the butterflies may feel good, they shouldn’t blind you to behaviour that chips away at your peace, self-worth, or safety.

While some red flags are easy to spot—like someone punching the wall because their football team lost—others are more subtle. For instance, being overly clingy, constantly angry in traffic, or always turning situations around to favour themselves might seem harmless at first, but they could point to deeper issues.

3. Disrespect Towards Others

Watch how they treat waiters, cleaners, or strangers. Rudeness to others is often a sign of deeper character issues.

4. Overreacting to Minor Issues

Constant fights over little things are not normal. It could be a sign of deeper anger or emotional instability.

5. Poor Listening Habits

If they constantly interrupt or dismiss your opinions, your voice is not being valued.
