The FCT Minister Barr. Nysome Wike has lauded the Ambassador of Turkiye to Nigeria, Mehmet Poroy for making the process of granting visa to Turkey stress free to facilitate businesses between the two countries.
Wike expressed his appreciation when the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mehmet Poroy, and his Secretary of State to Türkiye paid a courtesy visit to Barr. Wike in his office in Abuja on Monday.
He said, Thank you. And let me also thank you for expediting the process of obtaining a visa. That has been quite worrisome to most Nigerians, in particular Abuja residents.”
Wike noted that that is the first step to ensure that businessmen who want to go to Turkey will not find it difficult.
This was after the Turkish Ambassador informed the minister of the easy conditions for Nigerians who intend to go to Turkey for business.
Amb. Poroy stated that that is the first step to facilitate people-to-people, businessman-to-businessman contact between two countries.
The FCT Minister also pledged to provide a free environment for Turkish citizens, without molestation, and can carry out their businesses.
The minister further called for collaborative partnership between Nigeria and Turkey to improve trade relations between the two countries.
Of course, you know that the relationship between Turkey and Nigeria is very cordial. And our economic relationship has also been very commendable. And we want to improve on it, the minister added.
