Wumi Toriola Reacts After Being Mocked for Having Only One Child

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has responded to a social media user who left an unpleasant remark on her Instagram page.

Naija News reports that the incident occurred just days after Toriola threw a subtle jab at an unnamed colleague while questioning whether their movie could make a top-five list.

Following that post, a troll took to her comment section to mock her with a remark loosely translated as “mother of one.”

Known for defending herself, Toriola fired back with a lengthy message. She questioned why the user chose to attack her and urged her followers to visit his page and respond to him. She also warned that the fame he was seeking would only bring him stress and unrest.

She wrote:
“Unclez, I don’t know you. You woke up and typed ‘OLOMO KAN’ on my page. I don’t know what you mean, but I want my followers to bless you—with a curse. Onigba omo, e ma sesin ni. Amin. You still dey bully Olomo kan abi, eni jeere. Amin. That stardom you’re chasing, you will get it, but it will bring you trouble and no rest. covenant_home.”

Toriola married in 2018 and welcomed her first child, a son, Zion Toriola. In January 2023, she announced the end of her marriage. Despite the separation, she has stated that she and her ex-husband co-parent peacefully and that she hopes to have more children in the future.
