National Youth Alliance Holds Emergency Meeting on Security, Economic Hardship, and Youth Protection

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Youth Alliance (NYA) on Tuesday held an emergency meeting in Abuja to assess the current state of the nation and outline urgent measures to safeguard the interests of Nigerian youths.The meeting, convened amid rising security concerns and economic challenges, focused on evaluating national issues affecting young people and identifying strategies for coordinated youth engagement across the country.According to a statement issued after the session, the NEC expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation, economic hardship, and governance-related issues impacting the wellbeing and prospects of Nigerian youths.

The committee reaffirmed the NYA’s commitment to providing constructive leadership through policy advocacy, civic engagement, and strategic interventions aimed at promoting national stability and inclusive development.It further stressed the need for collaborative efforts among government institutions, civil society, and youth-led groups to address the challenges facing young Nigerians.The NEC noted that the Alliance remains dedicated to championing meaningful solutions that reflect the aspirations of the country’s youth population.The statement added that detailed resolutions and action plans from the meeting will be communicated to the public in due course.
