Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodríguez Buy Two Luxury Villas in Saudi Arabia After Billionaire Milestone

Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, have acquired two luxury villas on Saudi Arabia’s west coast following the football star’s emergence as the world’s first billionaire footballer.

The properties are located at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence, an ultra-exclusive destination about 26 kilometres from the mainland and accessible only by chartered boat or seaplane. Drawn by its privacy and seclusion, the couple purchased a three-bedroom villa for family stays and a two-bedroom villa for more private retreats. They are reportedly among the first buyers at the development and are already considering additional investments there.

Prices for the villas reportedly start at SAR 15.5 million (£3.1 million), though the exact amount paid by Ronaldo has not been disclosed. The resort features just 19 ultra-private villas, blending high-end design with bespoke services in a pristine natural setting.

Ronaldo, 40, said the island immediately appealed to him and Rodríguez. “From the moment we first visited, Georgina and I felt a connection with the island and its natural beauty. It’s a place where we feel at peace. Now we have a home here, we can enjoy quality time with family in complete privacy and serenity whenever we like,” he said.

The couple plan to spend significant time at the properties with their children. They share two daughters, Alana, seven, and Bella, two. Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, died during childbirth. Rodríguez is also stepmother to Ronaldo’s three other children — Cristiano Jr., 15, and twins Eva and Mateo, eight.

Ronaldo was recently declared football’s first billionaire after Bloomberg estimated his net worth at £1.04 billion, following a review of his career earnings, investments and endorsement deals. His move to Saudi Arabia has reportedly propelled him to the top of global sports earnings, placing him well ahead of long-time rival Lionel Messi.

A major contributor to Ronaldo’s wealth is his lifetime Nike deal, reportedly worth £745 million, alongside partnerships with brands including Tag Heuer, Armani, Louis Vuitton, Samsung and Unilever.

The Portugal captain continues to expand his luxury portfolio worldwide. He is currently building a £28 million mega-mansion in Portugal, investing in property on the Portuguese Riviera, and recently upgraded his private jet, selling his £16 million Gulfstream G200 for a Bombardier Global Express 6500 worth around £61 million.

Despite his lavish lifestyle, Ronaldo remains in peak physical condition and continues to perform at a high level at 40, with his longevity on the pitch further boosting his already extraordinary fortune.
