The Nigerian basketball community has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Madam Felicia Oyedeji, mother of former D’Tigers captain Olumide Oyedeji, and Dr. Edward Chiedoze Diogu, father of another former national team captain, Ike Diogu.The deaths of the two respected family figures have drawn tributes from across the sports fraternity, highlighting their roles in shaping the lives and careers of two of Nigeria’s most celebrated basketball players.Igoche Mark, founder of the Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship, has joined the Oyedeji and Diogu families in mourning, describing the losses as a painful reminder of life’s fragility and the enduring power of legacy.
