Oborevwori Urges New Police Cadets to Uphold Integrity and Professionalism

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged newly trained police cadets of Delta State origin to uphold integrity, professionalism, and respect for the rule of law as they begin their careers in the Nigeria Police Force.

The governor gave the charge while receiving the cadets at Government House, Asaba, following their graduation from the Nigeria Police Academy.Congratulating them on their successful completion of training, Oborevwori described the achievement as a reflection of discipline, resilience, and commitment. He noted that policing is a demanding profession that requires dedication and ethical conduct at all times.

“You are special to this state, and we are proud of you,” the governor said. He added that the Police Academy has consistently produced officers who have distinguished themselves within the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.

Oborevwori urged the cadets to conduct themselves in ways that inspire public confidence, stressing that justice, fairness, and selfless service must guide their actions in the communities they will serve.Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to security, the governor said Delta State has recorded improvements in safety and security in recent years. He assured that the state government would continue to support security agencies in protecting lives and property.

To motivate the cadets, Oborevwori announced the approval of monthly allowances with effect from January.Speaking on behalf of the cadets, the President of the Police Cadets, ASP Collins Akpevweoghene, thanked the governor for the reception and support. He assured that the cadets would remain committed to professionalism, integrity, and responsible service
