The Kogi State Government has launched a large-scale renovation project targeting 728 government-owned public secondary schools across the state.
The project, under the (AGILE), is aimed at improving learning environments, boosting teacher morale, and enhancing overall education outcomes.
Speaking at the event held at Government House in , Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the education sector.
Represented by his deputy, , the governor described the initiative as a bold step toward providing conducive learning spaces for students across the state.
He noted that the project aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of , stressing that investment in education remains critical to the state’s future development.
Ododo also commended his wife, , for her advocacy and support for the AGILE project, as well as the State Commissioner for Education, , for his leadership.
He acknowledged the contributions of development partners, including the , in supporting the initiative.
The governor further urged School-Based Management Committees to take ownership of the project to ensure its sustainability.
In his remarks, Jones described the project as historic and praised Governor Ododo for sustaining the education legacy of his predecessor, .
Also speaking, the State Project Coordinator of Kogi AGILE, , commended the governor’s commitment to advancing education development in the state.
