“Diplomacy or compromise?” – Nigerians react as VeryDarkMan visits Defence Headquarters

Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan has sparked reactions online after revealing details of his recent visit to the Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

According to him, the visit came after an invitation from Major General M.E. Onoja, giving him the opportunity to discuss pressing national concerns with top military officials.

Speaking about the meeting, VeryDarkMan said he raised issues surrounding insecurity, including the reported killings in Ekpoma, Edo State.

“I was invited to the Nigeria Army Defence Headquarters complex in Abuja by Major General M.E. Onoja, and I used the opportunity to highlight some key issues, including Justice for Crack, the killings in Ekpoma, Edo State, and other matters too,” he stated.

His disclosure comes amid growing concerns over insecurity and violent incidents affecting different parts of the country.

Following the revelation, social media users reacted with mixed opinions, as some questioned his motives while others defended his decision to engage with authorities.

@xstlove11 wrote, “I am afraid this guy called VDM don compromise, he’s now a tool against good governance.”

Another user, @OguguoNnamdi, added, “He just proved he’s a political tool. No more debates.”

However, some Nigerians argued that dialogue with authorities could be a strategic move.

@simmi_dollar commented, “No be everything be gra gra, sometimes use diplomacy.”

Others remained skeptical about the outcome of the meeting.

@LyfAcrosBorders stated, “Talk is cheap. Let’s see if anything actually changes.”
