At least no fewer than 3 persons have been confirmed dead over reprisal attacks between Fulani herdsmen and Farmers in Dogon Awo Village near Kogom River.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman, Jema’a Local Government area of Kaduna State, Peter Averik, alleged that “A reprisal attack by a Fulani herdsman and counter reprisal attacks by the Farmers in a village called Dogon Awo near Kogum River in Jagindi ward lead to the death of three and several others injured
According to him,” a farmer, a Fulani boy and a Fulani woman were confirmed dead.
He however disclosed that,” Security personnel have been mobilized to the affected area to forestall further reprisal attack.
Averik therefore called on the people of the area to remain calm and report any suspicious move that will disrupt the peaceful coexistence, as security agencies are working tirelessly to restore peace in the affected area.
