The Controller, Gusau DPR Field Office, Alhaji Yusuf Shehu disclosed this after the routine surveillance exercise in Gusau on Friday.
“You know since last week, we have dispatched our surveillance teams to monitor the level of compliance by filling stations across the state”, Shehu said.
He said more than 70 per cent of filling stations operating in the state had fully complied with the directive by the Federal Government to sell a litre of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at N125.
He said while the remaining 30 per cent had already exhausted their products.
“As you can see, some of the stations visited do not have the products on ground but they are expecting the products any time from now.
“We will also ensure that, they adjust their pump price not until when the products arrived at their stations.
“We also caught some marketers under-dispensing and we suspended them and we asked them to revert”, he said.
“We don’t want a situation where it will cause any hindrance to the movement of the people.
“In case of any one caught hoarding the product, he will be sanctioned in line with the rules and regulations of the department”, the Controller explained.
He warned that all filling stations that had failed to comply with the directive would be sealed.
He appealed to the public to report to its office, any filling station that sold petroleum products above the government approved pump price of N125.
