Zamfara State Govt Assures Adequate Security During Bakura Bye Election

Zamfara State Government has reassured of adequate security during Bakura Bye Election.     
This was disclosed by the state Governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) who was represented by his Deputy Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Muhammad Gusau at a stakeholders meeting organized by the state Office the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).       
The governor reiterated the present administration’s commitment towards protection of lives and property of citizens as the Government already recorded enormous successes in the area of peace and security.      Governor Matawalle called on all the political parties and other relevant stakeholders to give their maximum cooperation to the Government and the operating security agencies with a view to having a secured environment for free and Fair election.     
The governor who thanked INEC officials for organizing the stakeholders meeting to discuss issues of interest in that regard, also called on the commission not be partisan, but rather be neutral throughout the process.     
Speaking earlier, Zamfara State INEC Resident commissioner, Dr Asma’u Sani Maikudi said Bakura constituency has a total of 92, 697 registered Voters, 10 registration areas, 114 Polling units and 9 voting points where the registered Voters had collected a total of 89,615 Permanent voters cards, PVC, leaving a balance of 2,235 which is now with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Gusau Branch.     

The commissioner called on the political parties to observe the election regulations and guidelines by the following the election timetable while implementing series of activities before the final date of the election.
