Truck of beers burnt to ashes in kaduna accident

A long trucks laden with beer products worth hundreds of thousands of naira Wednesday involved in an accident and went into flame along Kachia road in Kaduna state.
No known casualty has been reported according to Sabon Tasha General hospital eyewitness staff sources where the incident occurred. 

The Pellar Truck which however fell flat opposite refinery quarters, Kachia road around 10:30pm, was burnt to ashes including the contents and engine.  The Divisional officer, Nigeria Civil Defense Corps (NCDC), Chikun division, Mr. Agbo Peter told newsman at the scene that there was a midnight call to his men who rushed to scene to rendered assistant in putting off the fire, together with police and fire service men.

Although Mr. Agbo could not explained the remote courses of the night accident, a source told our correspondent that the truck driver who was heading to Plateau state, later turned back at refinery junction based on call from their office to returne’ bact in Kaduna.
The source further explained that, the accident occurred at the Sabon Tasha General hospital U-turn, when a car attempted to cross the road. 

Our correspondent who was at the scene of the incident also reported that it was a rainy day for “Bolla boys” as the scene was preoccupied with infighting activities over struggle for burnt wires and other parts of the trucks, by the boys. Contacted, Nigerian brewery said the truck owner is a contractor involved in buying and distribution business of beers and not directly linked to the company as staff.

All efforts to contact the truck owner to confirm the value of the lost was trashed due to inability to get contact.
Officers of NCDC and others were making efforts to remove the burnt truck debris from federal road.
