Taraba Ethics call for the removal of SSG

 By Hassan Ishaku, Jalingo.

Taraba Mummuye ethics comprising Zing, Yoro and Ardo-Kola local government areas of Taraba state on Sunday urged Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku to as a matter of urgency sack his Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Anthony Jallason.

The Mumuye ethics from Zing,  Monkey and Bitako, who spoke with Journalists in Yoro Local Government during their meeting alleged that the SSG for long has been poisoning the mind of Governor Ishaku against the Mumuye people.

“The SSG does not have his people at heart, his only interested is his personal family and pocket.

“Governor since 2015 appointed him to represent us, but the revise is the case.

“As we speak with you, no Mumuye man can beat his or her chest to claim that this is what the SSG has influenced nor brought for his people,” he said.

He maintained that if Governor Ishaku refused to remove the SSG, the people would have no option than to go on peaceful protest.

“We are all against him because of his greediness.

If he continues to remain as the SSG, no government presence would be found in Mumuye land, we are tired of his selfish desires.

“If governor Darius really want to help us, let him give audience to our cry and remove the present SSG and appoint someone from Mumuye community that knows the plight of the people, that has open door to our people and that can as well accommodate us,” he noted.

According to him, the SSG has been in Government right from the then North Eastern state upto the defunct Gongola, noting that he has done his best, but the best was no longer enough to contribute positively to the growth of the administration of governor Ishaku.

He warned that if Governor Ishaku failed to listen to their cry, they would in return fail him in 2023.

He alleged that his SSG has been bundle of confusion, cheat, and malice in his government who advises him illfully against the Mumuye nations.

When contacted, the SSG said he would be the happiest person if the Governor will remove him.

He added that if the Mummuye tribe alleged that he is not representing them well, they can asked the governor to appoint someone who can represent them.

“After our first four years in 2019, I told the governor that I have had my own share.

“I told him I’m not feeling too well and need to rest, but the governor insisted and that is why I’m still in this government,” he said.
