Senator Wamakko Commiserates Kasuwar Daji Fire Victims

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has commiserated with the victims of the Kasuwar Daji, Sokoto, Market Fire disaster, who have lost assorted properties believed to be worth billions  of millions of Naira.

The release Baahir Rabe Mani further said the ill-fated market, popularly called “Ramin Kura,” which is the hub of all vegetables, fruits, spices, grains and root crops , among others, went off in flames in the early hours of Wednesday.
Consequently, unquantified properties had been razed by the inferno, largely onions, yams, vegetables, and fruits, resulting in huge losses incurred by the affected traders .
Wamakko, a Former Governor of the State, described the unfortunate incident as a divinely ordained, just as he expressed happiness that, no life was lost as a result of the blaze.

Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District,  commiserated with the victims of the disaster, as well as admonished them to regard it as an inevitable act of the Almighty Allah.

He beseeched the Almighty Allah to replenish the losses incurred by the myriad of affected traders, most of whom had lost their life savings.
Wamakko further expressed shock and sadness that, the tragedy struck at a time when the citizens were already experiencing some formidable hard times.


” I am therefore praying the Almighty Allah to prevent the recurrence   of such obnoxious tragedies, as well as make ways for the victims to bounce back with their hitherto bustling trading and commercial activities in the market .
“On behlaf of myself, the All Progressives Congress ( APC), and all its supporters, I am hereby commiserating with all the victims and we are sharing your unexplainable griefs .
“You are not alone in this fensive period and emotionally overwhelming mood . We will continue to be with you and we will stand with you, ” Wamakko, vowed.
