By Isaac Kertyo, Makurdi

Benue State First Lady, Dr. Eunice Ortom has admonished women to wake up from their slumber and pray to God to intervene in the myriad of challenges rocking the nation.

Dr Ortom made the call on Friday at the Chapel of Grace, Government House Makurdi while addressing Benue women during the the National Solemn Assembly Prayer for Peace and Security organized by the Nigerian Governors’ Wives Forum.

The First Lady who applauded present leaders over their untiring efforts to tackle insecurity and other challenges, stressed however that their efforts could not produce tangible results.

According to Mrs Ortom it behoves Christians to pray for Divine intervention to overcome the multiple challenges bedeviling the country for faster development.

The First Lady assured the people that God will heal the land if they seek His face and refrain from sinful acts.

She urged parents to teach their children to shun the devil’s attempt to lure them to perpetrate acts against God and humanity.
