PCRC Visits Zone 10 Police Command

The AIG Zone 10 Headquarters Sokoto, Assistant Inspector General of PoliceI Ali Aji Janga psc,mni in his own remarks congratulated the newly elected Chairman and members of his executives for successful elections which brings them on board.

He went on to remind them of the challenges ahead and the task which needed to be accomplished and equally observed that he had not felt the impact of the PCRC of the Zone since his arrival on assumption of duty as the AIG Zone 10 Sokoto.

This was contained in a release signed and issued to newsmen in Sokoto by the Commands’ spokesman ASP Adamu Abbas.

He said unlike other places he had worked as the Area Commander in Sagamu Ogun State, he initiated a project which was jointly executed by the PCRC of that area before he was posted from the place.

“You should be up and doing to ensure that your impact is positively felt.

” I am also reminding you of the insecurity issues currently bedevilling the Zone and the country at large,the Nigeria Police alone cannot tackle insecurity without collective supports.

“One of the reasons why we are facing this problem is as a result of greed and moral decadence,and that people have forgotten that death is inevitable and the day of accountabilty for our deeds will surely come”.

He solicited for pervent prayers so that Allah will intervene and save us from the scourge ànd recommended the use of imported vigilantes groups to fight banditry just the way they were deployed in Yola to fight Boko Haram insurgents and was successful.

Same way,he advocated on the need for various stakeholders and the government to put heads together to assist the security agencies in order to tackle banditry. He equally assured that the PCRC Zone 10 executives of their support whenever and wherever the needs arises.

Earlier, the Chairman of the PCRC Alhaji Bello Mijinyawa said the purpose of the call was to formally present the members to the AIG.

He added that another aim of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between the PCRC and the members of the force as well as assure their mandates is fully achieved. He then thanked the AIG for the support he has been rendering to ensure that PCRC Zone 10 Sokoto works effectively and live up to its expectations.

In his remarks, the National Youth leader of the PCRC who doubles as the spokesman of PCRC, Comrade Aliyu Oro commended the AIG for his leadership qualities and humane nature. He said he has followed his antecedence everywhere he had worked and the success which he has recorded, and, still recording as a Police Officer, prayed for Allah to elevate him to the most exalted and enviable rank in the Force.
