Bayelsa PDP Chieftain knocks APC over claim of Insecurity

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Chief Perekeme Kpodoh has described as “laughable” and “self indicating” the claims by the All Progressive Congress (APC) of allege rising violent crimes and insecurity in the State.

According to Kpodoh, the APC have lost grip with the realities in the Nigeria and are suffering from the huge failures being recorded at the National level where the party have lost grip of the security of states and the country at large.

Chief Perekeme Kpodoh, who was reacting to the claims made by the APC chapter in Sagbama Local Government Area accusing Gov. Douye Diri of losing grip of issue of security in the state which they claimed have led to the recent cases of abductions in the state.

Chief Kpodoh, who is also from Sagbama Local Government, argued that it is only a party that has lost focus and gripped by failures of its national leaders will make such claims” in most APC governed states, there are cases of wantom killings, abductions of school pupils and bandits operating without security checks. Compare to the PDP ruled Bayelsa, it is like comparing life with deaths. “

He also warned the APC against allege use of covert and erroneous critism to instigate violence and insecurity in the state,” this claim by the APC should be taken seriously and scrutinised to avoid concortes plans to instigate insecurity.”

Chief Kpodoh however called on the State Governor, Senator Douye Diri not to be distracted by such frivolous claims by the roundly defeated political party in the state but focus on completing the various ongoing projects in the state.

He pointed that when the ongoing breeze of performance of the present administration is visibly seen, “even the blindmen in the opposition party will see it. Contractors should be encouraged and those whose properties are evaluated and to be compensated to open ways for completion of projects should be done without delay.”
