Gov. Bello sacks SIEC Commissioner, Appoints Ojo In Kogi

The Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Wednesday gave red card to the suspended Commissioner of Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, (SIEC) Hon. Emmanuel Folorunsho Olorunfemi for gross misconduct.

This was sequel to the recommendation by the Kogi state House of Assembly after investigating some allegations leveled against him through a petition to the state House of Assembly. He was removed from office for gross misconduct.

Meanwhile, the Governor has appointed Hon. George Funsho Ojo as the new Commissioner of Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission.

Funsho Ojo is from Kabba/Bunu local government area, Kogi state.
