Sokoto Bureau de Change Operators Association Dissolves Caretaker Committee

The Sokoto State Chapter of the Association of Bureau De Change Operators has dissolved the Caretaker Committee it recently constituted to conduct election.

The Chairman of the association, Alhaji Aliyu Sahabi ‘Yar-Abba announced the dissolution in a statement in Sokoto on Sunday.
He stated that the action was taken in compliance with a directive from the Sokoto State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture .

According to Alhaji Aliyu Sahabi ‘Yar-Abba, in line with the said directive, the immediate past executive committee chaired by him was still in force.

The Chairman further averred that, the state executive committee headed by him subsits pending the conduct of the planned fresh election before the end of 2021.

‘Yar-Abba further explained that arrangements are on top gear to conduct a credible election of the new leaders of the association.

He commended the Chamber of Commerce for wading into the matter and promised that the members of the association would remain peaceful and law abiding.
