The Allegation Tambuwal Attacked At Eastern Flank Is Spurious, False

By Muhammad Goronyo,Sokoto

Contrary to an unfounded allegation that Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state was attacked and escaped death in the hands of bandits at a village in one of the local government areas in the Eastern flank of the state, the Governor is alive and was never attacked.

The statement made available to newsmen in Sokoto by his media aide further said the news peddled and circulated is simply a false and spurious claim by a fictitious online media platform calling itself “Critical Times.”

While it was true that the Governor, along with his Deputy, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, heads of security outfits in the state and other government officials visited Sabon Birni to condole the people of the area over the loss of 23 passengers to an attack by bandits, it is not true that he was attacked.
