A Kaduna based Christian cleric, Pastor Yohanna Buru has appealed to spirited Muslims, JNI, women in Da’awah and other wealthy individuals to assist to construct a mosque at the Kaduna state rehabilitation centre Kakuri, for Muslims with disabilities to enable them to perform their civic religious right.
Pastor Buru made this appealed when he received the executive members of the Centre and other association of physically challenged person on an advocacy visit to him at his resident at Sabon Tasha, Kaduna south.
He said, in view of the nature of the disabled person at the centre, people should assist them to realize their goal of having their mosque which will enable them to partake in all the 5 daily prayers’
“They don’t have means of building a mosque, all they need is support from everyone irrespective of his religion or tribe because the house of God is for everyone.
“God listens to their prayer, and that is why am begging all Muslims organization, and wealthy individual to assist them with any small building materials, so as to have their place of worship”
Pastor Buru who is also the founder of “Peace revival and reconciliation foundation of Nigeria” expressed appreciation for their visit.
He stressed that the visit to him by the association of disabled person was to strengthen peace and unity and to boost interfaith activities in the state.
The Christian clerics assured of his commitment to the continued struggle for the emancipation of the downtrodden in the society.
Earlier, the executive director of the centre for Muslims with Disability in Nigeria, CMDN, comrade Rilwanu Abdullahi thanked the pastor for his intention to support the centre realize its goal of having its mosque for Muslims destitute at the school premises.
He also Thanked the Christian cleric for his humanitarian services to members of the public
Rilwanu said, the mosque project is beyond their power, hence the need for outside support from both Muslims and Christians.
