A 25 years old man killed over N100 in Jigawa

Jigawa state police command said it has arrested a 30 years old man Aminu Umar of Majiyawa village in Ringim local government area of Jigawa state for allegedly killing his friend over N100.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, Alhaji Jinjiri Abdul, who disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse, said the suspect was arrested while attempting to took to his heels after the incident.

Abdu Jinjiri said Ringim divisional police station received report that one Aminu Umar 30 years of Majiyawa village engaged in physical combat with Sani Bala of 25 years old of Katutu quarters in Ringim town after a little misunderstanding between the two.

He explained that the incident happened at Ringim abattoir over N100 which is part of their money paid to them for unskinning a goat.

Abdu Jinjiri said on receiving the report officers of the Nigerian police visited the scene and found Sani Bala unconscious and rushed him to Ringim general hospital where he passed away before getting in to the hospital.

He said the suspected killer was already in police custody and will be change to court after investigation.

The police public relation officer therefore urged the public to desist from taking law in to their hand and report any dubious activities to security agencies around them.
