Adamawa Govt confirms receipt of over 59,000 COVID-19 Vaccine

The Adamawa state government has confirmed receipt of over 59,000 doses of the Aztrazeneca coronavirus vaccine from the federal government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Tuesday night.
The Secretary to the state government, Mallam Bashir Ahmad while briefing newsmen in his office Wednesday evening said the vaccines have been stored at the storage facility of the Adamawa state Primary Health Care Development Agency.
Mallam Bashir said the state has concluded plans to kick-off the vaccination on Monday 15 March 2021.
He further stressed that the vaccination will begin with the health worker followed by the governor.
The SSG pointed out that the state government has created a portal for residents who are interested in taking the vaccine to register before being vaccinated.
He assured that the state government will ensure equitable distribution of the vaccine across the state.
