Agema Collaborates With Mdas to Enhance Revenue Generation

The acting executive chairman, benue internal revenue service, birs, mr emmanuel agema, has reiterated his commitment to collaborate with ministries, departments and agencies, mdas, to enhance revenue generation in the state.

Mr agema stated this during a courtesy visit on the commissioner, ministry of water resources, environment and climate change, mr odoh ugwu at the ministry’s headquarters in makurdi, the benue state capital.

A statement by the media assistant to the chairman, birs, jacinta bernard explained that ” for revenue to be generated and collected effectively and efficiently, there must be a strong synergy with the mdas.

“Recall that, the chairman recently partnered with the department of tourism in the ministry of information, culture and tourism to enable benue internal revenue service collect hotel levies successfully.”

According to statement, the collaboration with the ministries, departments and agencies is aimed at improving the revenue profile of the state towards the development of critical infrastructure, and provision of social amenities for the benefit of benue people.
