The minister of agriculture and rural development Malam Sabo Na nono and one Farouk Mudi are allegedly colluding to defraud Nigerian farmers by selling substandard and expired items that were stored since 2017 at Mando and Keffi stores through Heritage Bank.

This was the allegation made by the national president, All farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Architect Kabir Ibrahim in a press release issued to our correspondent in Kano. He said that ” the honourable minister of agriculture and three other ministers are getting set to launch the sales of an expired and substandard inputs to Nigerian farmers during the forthcoming annual agric show scheduled to hold soon”. The statement read

Furthermore, Kabir Ibrahim said AFAN is an NGO owned by the Nigerian farmers therefore the federal ministry of agriculture has no right to take control hence it is not the government property, where he called on the Nigerian farmers to shun the purchase of these substandard and expired items that were stored since 2017 which is a total fraud.

The statement further stated that ” the honourable minister of agriculture has been rated as very poor in performance, while the ministry is under probe by ICPC over alleged misappropriation of over 16bn naira which is a great set back to agricultural sector under president Muhammadu Buhari administration”.

In conclusion, the National president disclosed that AFAN is getting ready to sue the honourable minister of agriculture for dealing with one Farouk Mudi as AFAN president despite that there is a pending court case regarding Mudi as the association’s National president.
